Three Against Two – Or how to triple your legal fees in three short years.

In the past three years we have suffered a flood of second guessing, gotcha questions, and Open Public Records Act requests. This disruptive behavior started with a small group opposed to Green Medicine and was co-opted by the opposing party. For all their noise, what have they gained? The lawsuit over the Green Medicine land use application was a total disaster for them with all of the counts dismissed with prejudice – meaning that they can’t re-file. The judge repeated numerous times in his ruling how the Planning Board, Township Committee, and professionals acted appropriately.

Their attention was then turned to the Township’s lawsuit over the school referendum and more importantly holding the district accountable for their abysmal performance. Mrs Hudson went so far as to communicate information from a closed session to a member of the Board of Education – for which she was censured. It bears noting that this is the first time since the founding of West Amwell Township in 1846 that an official has been censured.

Since then, they have questioned essentially everything that the Township Committee does – even down to criticizing a misplaced period at the end of an email address!

The only beneficiary has been the Township Attorney since our monthly legal bill has roughly tripled.

We simply can’t keep going in this direction.

Connor and Rich pledge an end to this petty divisive behavior and will restore smooth running operations in West Amwell!
